Secure Off-Site Data Backup is a complete backup solution that backs up selected files over the Internet using 448-Bit encryption to multiple servers. By automatically backing up data nightly, it eliminates the human-error factor as well as the need for tape drives, tapes, cleaning tapes, and expensive software. There are two backup modes that are setup depending on the file type; routine backup (for daily changing practice data) and archive backup (for digital imaging and non-changing data).

The routine backup works like a virtual tape rotation. Each day, your selected files and folders are stored and grouped as a virtual tape. It allows you to automatically append files to the backup sets. You can recover any file from any virtual tape that you have. It provides a full 7 day, 52 week and 12 month rotation schedule.

The archive backup works similarly, but only adds new static files to the existing archive.

To simplify administration, An email is sent daily to a designated contact (or contacts) in your office and the Medix office giving a complete summary of the previous night's backup activities.
