Intel vs. AMD Processors for your Dental Practice
A question we are commonly asked is "Can we use lower cost AMD processor-based computers for our practice?" Our unified answer is always "No, And let me tell you why." To start off with, AMD processors are not listed anywhere in the System Requirements sections for Dentrix or Eaglesoft. A lot of tech people will start a debate right there and say they are 100% compatible, which in theory is correct but the supporting chipsets may not be. We would never recommend that our clients risk having issues in their practice by running software in an untested environment.
